President and CEO of Alister Inc.
Rebecca Neithercutt is a Project Manager for Computer Integration Services, and consults for entrepreneurial startups in her spare time. Rebecca is an expert researcher who grew up with the internet and can find or source anything, anywhere, stored in it. Rebecca holds active research credentials at the US Library of Congress and the British Library, among many of her favorite haunts to track obscure intellectual threads.
Maurice Thomas
CMO of Alister Inc.
Maurice graduated from California State University of Sacramento in 2008 with a BS in Business Administration with concentrations in General Management, International Business, Real Estate and Finance. He graduated with a minor in Marketing and has been working in sales since the age of 12. Maurice owns a Real Estate Brokerage and sits on multiple boards as well as committees, working closely with organizations to have a positive impact on today's world. Besides being our Chief Marketing Officer, Maurice is a Director for the California Association of Realtors, Board Member for the Sacramento Association of Realtors, Government Relations Committee, Assessors Appeals Board, CPAC, and chair of the a local entrepreneurial Curriculum Committee. Skill development is a passion of his.
Curtis darnell

After a 28 year career as a 9-1-1 dispatcher and eventually becoming the Chief of Santa Clara County Communications (handling 9-1-1, law, fire and medical dispatching) I retired on December 31, 2010 to move into the next phase of my service to public safety. I’ve kept up membership in APCO and NENA to stay abreast of technological change in the 911 dispatch environment with my consulting business, eventually working for two computer aided dispatch (CAD) vendors trying to enter the US market. I worked with Beta80 from Milan ( 2014 to 2017), then RapidDeploy in 2019 with demonstrations and installation of a dramatically more accurate caller location software in Northern California 911 centers.

rick orloff
Rick Orloff is a nonbureaucratic operations-minded security executive with more then 20 years of industry experience in Silicon Valley. Most recently, Rick was the Chief Security Officer and Senior Vice President of Operations at Kaseya, a cloud-based global technology management company. Rick previously held executive leadership roles with Apple, eBay, Code42, and Lam Research where he designed, delivered, and operationalized security programs supporting several global business models. Rick identifies root problems and scales teams to deliver on critical programs with defined outcomes. Success always includes building stakeholder decision-making frameworks to accept, transfer, or mitigate risks.
Rick spent seven years at Apple Inc. (APPL) leading and building a variety of global security programs to protect Apple’s sensitive data and critical initiatives. He designed critical security programs protecting more than 500 million customer records and billions of transaction records. He also developed a security framework for the supply chain, was responsible for strategy and execution relative to securing all prototype devices, and was responsible for all critical investigations as well as designed a new Physical Security Technology program worldwide.
Sean o'dea
Sean has 29+ years of software development, security and information technology experience and is a Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP). Sean is an experienced software and security leader and provides strong leadership in Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), Software as a Service (SaaS), cybersecurity, compliance, and auditing. Sean is current the Chief Software Architect at Kaseya global technology management company. Sean previously held a technology consulting position at Public Consulting Group (PCG) where PCG specialized in large government systems including unemployment and disability insurance, as well as Medicaid and Affordable Care Act (ACA) State-based insurance exchanges.

Shante wright
Shante has experience and skills in Java, SQL, Visual Basic, project management, Microsoft Excel including pivot tables and macros, and Microsoft access.
In the internship, she learned about networking, security, CSS, and C++.
Shante Wright is a Northern California-based analyst working in the banking industry. She has spearheaded numerous projects including a 12-server upgrade of a $1 billion loan platform. In her free time, she enjoys traveling around the globe, she enjoys a variety of cultures and is excited about new experiences to come.

His personal statement: Hello, I am a graduate of California State University, Sacramento with a Bachelor of Science, Business Administration Concentration, and a Management of Information Systems degree. I am a technology enthusiast and I like to learn industry trends and read up on current news. Aside from work, I enjoy playing tennis, fishing, and camping.
Personally, I am knowledgeable of computer systems and information technology with an aptness to learn new skills quickly. I am able to communicate with clients, colleagues, and management to explain complex issues clearly and concisely. Last, I have the versatility to work both in a team and alone to manage workload.
Edward baumel
Edward has experience and skills with Google Sites, Python, Microsoft Access, and Excel.
In the internship he learned more about JavaScript, HTML, SQL, and network security.
Edward Baumel is a graduate of Sacramento State University pursuing a degree in MIS. He spent a couple of years trying engineering and accounting and realized his interest was really with technology. Edward eventually became President of the student organization MISA after being the Information Systems Officer for a semester. He took the position because he felt the need to give back to the organization that taught him so much about the field. When he gets free time, he likes to lift weights, play video games, and learn something interesting off YouTube.

Drew Lowe is a graduate of Sacramento State College of Business Administration.
His personal statement: Software development and coding have become my passion.
With a Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Associate’s degree in Business Administration, and hands-on experience using various programming languages and database management systems to create and implement applications, I have spent the past few years honing a variety of programming and information systems driven skill-sets.
For my first professional contract, I was given the opportunity to lead a full mobile UI/UX overhaul of a company's merchant website. My second involved creating a website from the ground up for a non-profit organization. Most recently, our team has been working on producing an android application utilizing blockchain technology for a small start-up.
Every course, contract, success, and especially each failure has challenged my resolve and contributed to my progression as a developer. My goal is to continue to grow and utilize my platform to help others.
My skills and interests are in Android Studio, CSS, HTML, Java, JavaScript, PHP, Python, and WordPress.
Katherine neithercutt
Writer and Editor
Katherine Neithercutt has a BA in English Literature with an Emphasis in Creative Writing, and two minors in Psychology and Chinese Language and Culture, and a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from Mills College (now Mills Northeastern). During her time at Mills, Katherine founded an advocacy club for students with disabilities on campus and after graduation, decided she is going to pursue a degree in law specializing in disability and environmental policy. In the BOE internship, she gained more experience as a writer and editor. She edited the Blockchain of Evidence White Paper, and is currently working on the manuscript of a fantasy novel to publish very soon.
Katherine has experience with Microsoft Word, Scrivener, InDesign, Google Sites, Wordpress, Kurzweil, Zoomtext, and Sonocent. Katherine is also currently interested in learning to code HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and SQL. In her spare time, she enjoys coding, reading books, writing poems and short stories, playing harp, and cooking new and delicious meals for her family.
Tuan Nguyen
Tuan has experience and skills with Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Visual Basic, and SQL.
In the internship he is hoping to learn about Java, HTML, and CSS.
Tuan Nguyen is a recent graduate from Sac State University with a bachelor’s degree in management information systems. He is currently working with the Department of Food and Agriculture as a Research Data Analyst serving the citizens of the State and consumers of California agricultural products to assure the safety, availability and affordability of agricultural products by promoting California agriculture, protecting public and animal health while enhancing stewardship of the environment. On his spare time, Tuan loves to bake a variety of pastries and puts his creative talents into making custom themed cakes.
